What if I told you that without that much effort, you could send an email that will get traffic to your site? I know a simple system that can be scheduled, automated, and tracked. This method is not just designed to bring general traffic, but quality leads to your website.

It’s simple! Here’s the system in a nutshell:
- Create content on your website.
- Create an email “newsletter” with attention grabbing headlines that link to your site.
- Send the newsletter to clients and potential clients.
The key is that the content is not in the email you send, but on your website. Not only does this keep your email short and clean, but it creates traffic to your website. Make them “read more”!
Once visitors see your website, they see what a cool company you are and contact you to do business! Even if you don’t get a call, you have provided a visitor with some useful information on their needs and your company.
Creating content is easy?
Ok, perhaps “easy” is stretching it a bit, but it doesn’t have to be as hard as some people make it. The trick is that the “content” should already be on your website. If my blog and portfolio section are up to date, I already have to new content.
I’ll write a separate post on creating blog content, but here are some tips:
- Generate a bunch of topics and and schedule them to publish later. I generally do a month in a day. I have note pads full of ideas. WordPress has the scheduling feature built in.
- Think of advice you constantly give in meetings with customers.
- Give your expertise for free. Once you are established as an expert, clients will be willing to pay for your time. If they only want free advise, they were never going to be paying clients and you have lost nothing.
- Blog ideas…New products…reviews…new employees…new clients…how a national story relates to your industry…interview a client
Once it’s part of your operations, it becomes second nature. I don’t think you should spent too much time on blogging. If you have to think about it too much, you are doing it wrong.
